Years ago, during my first failed marriage, I sat in the Marriage counslers office and tried to work out the problems my inexperienced and confused life was having in relationships, especially the one I was in. The professional woman was very patient with me as I remembered all of my passed, after just one question she asked me.
"What do you really want to do in your life that would be special to you?" I didn't have to reflect to long on my answer and just blirted out, "I'd like to write a book about what happened to me as a little girl."
She smiled sweetly and nodded her head while my husband broke out laughing, got up from his chair and left the room.
Well, I got that divorce and 35 years later, I did write the book. It wasn't easy meshing through all of those bad memories, but after the book was done, the weight of guilt and confusion was lifted off of my very soul. You see, I thought I was to blame for failed everything , but even through all of the life's lessons, I did survive the control used on my young mind, and show you how I did, in my first book, an autobiographcal novel titled: "I Did as I was Told."
Follow Rose while she matures and learns someones idea of life.
This Book is avaliable on Amazon, Barnes &Nobel and also directly through
Winter is my time to sit and put all of my energies into writing. Heck, there's not much else to do on this blooming mountain, so the sequel to I Did as I was Told, will be finished by the Spring of 2010.
Writing it was easy but the cover was definatly a different story. I had an ancient slide that has to be the cover that was taken almost 40 years ago. Transforming this ancient thing turned into a tectonic feat, but my very talented newly found cousin, Janice Annesley, a photographer, did it to my complete amazement.
The publishing date is set for early Spring of 2010.
Close the Door We Live in a Barn, was my journel that takes you through all of the trials and tribulation of moving after retirement. Hey, who knew we were old, sure didn't fell like it until the hard work started.
